Mobile mapping: average air pollution concentrations block by block.
High resolution measurements identify areas where elevated levels of harmful pollutants are typically present. Multiple measurements at each location over time leads to an understanding of typical air quality. Each block has been measured over 20 times, which has been proven to be representative of the persistent air quality at a given location during the measurement time frame. Mobile mapping is either continuous or performed on a quarterly or annual project basis to establish a baseline. This data can help people reduce exposure and risk where they live, work, and play. Through our hyperlocal measurements, air district regulators are now equipped with the hard data needed to enhance the identification and characterization of sources and improve emissions reduction planning.
